Union Station, in downtown Texarkana, sits diagonally acros the Arkansas Texas state line. Because of the positioning, there are entrance and exit doors in both states. Another unique feature is a seam which allows the building to grow. Between winter and summer, the length of Union Station varies by as much as 8 inches. This railroad depot, built in 1929, was reopened in 1989 after extensive restoration but is currently closed. It is still worth seeing from the outside.
